On June 19, deputies responded to a theft complaint wherein cash and jewelry were stolen from inside a residence. Deputies learned the items were found to be missing following cleaning services performed at the home by a local cleaning service. During the initial investigation, deputies developed Jenny Terrebonne (W/F, D.O.B. 06/17/80) of 176 East 144th Street in Galliano, an employee of the cleaning service, as a suspect in the crime. Detectives began investigating and learned Terrebonne had pawned jewelry at an area pawn shop. The jewelry was actually found to belong to another victim whose home Terrebonne cleans as an employee of the cleaning service. Detectives obtained a warrant for Terrebonne’s arrest in that case. Then on Monday, July 14, they made contact with Terrebonne and she was placed under arrest for Felony Theft. She was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where she was booked per the warrant. She is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond as set by Judge Walter I. Lanier III through the warrant. Detectives say additional charges are pending.
