Detectives Searching for Subject Who Shot at a Thibodaux Residence

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for shooting at and damaging a Thibodaux residence early Sunday morning.
 
At around 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 2, a caller reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area of the 1300 block of Midland Drive in Thibodaux. Officers from the Thibodaux Police Department responded along with deputies from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. Through investigation, deputies learned an unidentified subject exited a dark-colored sport-utility vehicle near the intersection of St. Bernard Street and Glenn Street. The subject began walking toward a residence in the 1300 block of Midland Drive and fired several rounds at the residence causing damage including a broken window and broken water pipe. Several bullet casings were discovered in the area. There were multiple people inside the residence at the time of the shooting, including three children.
 
Detectives are asking for the public’s help to solve this crime. Anyone with any knowledge of this crime is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted through any one of these methods:
