Larose Couple Faces Drug Charges after Being Found with Synthetic Marijuana

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported the arrest of a South Lafourche couple found with a large amount of synthetic marijuana. Krystal Duncan (W/F, D.O.B. 08/30/83) and Clayton Duncan (B/M, D.O.B. 09/01/83), both of Larose, were arrested Friday afternoon after deputies found the drugs inside their vehicle.
 
Just after 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4, deputies responded to a Larose convenience store after receiving a report about two people possibly using drugs inside their vehicle. While en route to the location, deputies spotted the suspects’ vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Deputies identified the driver as Krystal Duncan and identified the passenger as her husband, Clayton Duncan, and they learned Krystal Duncan had no driver’s license and an active warrant for her arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute Synthetic Marijuana. During the course of the traffic stop, Krystal Duncan admitted to having synthetic marijuana inside the vehicle, and she voluntarily consented to a search. Deputies found several bags containing a total of approximately 75 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana inside the vehicle.
 
The Duncans were placed under arrest and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. Both were charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Synthetic Marijuana. Krystal Duncan was additionally booked as per the outstanding warrant, and she was also charged with no driver’s license. She is being held in lieu of $30,500 bond, while Clayton Duncan is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond. Both bond amounts were set by Judge Jerome J. Barbera III.
