Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for damaging several vehicles by throwing rocks from the railroad trestle bridge at Lafourche Crossing in Thibodaux on Saturday night.

At least four vehicles were damaged in the incident, and one victim was taken to the hospital due to a window shattering and possibly having glass in the victim's eye. Witnesses believe individuals were tossing rocks from the bridge striking cars passing below on LA Highway 1.

"Tossing rocks onto vehicles traveling at over 50 miles per hour should be no one's idea of fun," said Sheriff Webre. "This is a serious crime that not only damages property, but could also be fatal. All it would take is one driver to over-react and strike a guardrail or an oncoming car, and multiple lives could potentially be lost. We ask for your help in bringing these criminals to justice."

Anyone with any information on this crime is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted through any one of these methods:
