Suspect Sought in Tablet Computer Theft

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of man who stole several tablet computers from a Galliano department store last month.
 
At around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 19, an unidentified male entered the Walmart Supercenter located at 16759 Highway 3235. The subject eventually made his way to the electronics section and opened a locked case containing tablet computers using a crowbar he acquired once inside the store. The subject eventually exited the store with the tablet computers concealed in his clothing. The tablets have a combined value of over $1,300. Detectives describe the suspect as black male with a medium build driving a dark-colored, extended cab “low rider” pick-up truck.
 

Anyone who can identify the suspect, or anyone with information on this case, is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted through any one of these methods:
