Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced investigators are seeking information from the public about a burglary at a Raceland restaurant this week wherein a safe was stolen.
On Tuesday, January 14, detectives were called to the Dairy Kool Restaurant, located at 3821 Highway 1 in Raceland, on Tuesday morning in reference to a burglary. Through investigation, detectives learned a safe located inside the shop had been dragged out through a rear door and removed from the premises. Detectives say the burglary occurred at some point between Monday night and Tuesday morning. No signs of forced entry were found. The safe contained paperwork and an unknown amount of money.
Investigators are asking the public for help in solving this crime. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted through any one of these methods:
