The Uniform Patrol Section is responsible for the immediate response to all calls for service which include a wide range of service -- from life threatening situations to keys locked in a car. Our Specialty Enforcement Section features several types of deputies including, Motorcycle Patrol, Bicycle Patrol, Traffic/School Guards, and the Proactive Police Unit. Motorcycle deputies patrol residential areas and investigate privte property crashes within the parish. Bicycle Patrol and the Proactive Police Unit conduct patrols and enforcement in targeted areas of the parish. Email or call (985) 532-4320.

The K-9 Section deputies are utilized for a variety of purposes. They are most often utilized on traffic stops wherein narcotics are suspected to be present inside a vehicle. They are sometimes used in high-risk situations where it might not be safe for a deputy to enter. K-9 units are also used when conducting building searches or when searching for fugitives or missing persons, whether they are believed to be alive or deceased. K-9 deputies assist every jurisdiction within the parish, and are sometimes called to assist in outside parishes. Email or call (985) 532-4320.
