Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced three people have been arrested for attempted murder following a shooting on Supercharge Drive in Thibodaux. Torrell Sylvester (age 34) of Raceland and Brent Ledet (age 29) and Raven Stevens (age 29), both of Cut Off, were each charged with Attempted First Degree Murder in the Incident.
At around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, deputies responded to several calls of shots fired in the area of Supercharge Drive in Thibodaux. As one deputy was responding to the call, he noticed a small black car matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The deputy identified the occupants as Sylvester, Ledet, and Stevens, and they were detained for questioning. A shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle were also recovered from the vehicle. Meanwhile, detectives proceeded to the scene of the shooting and discovered multiple bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle.
Through investigation, detectives learned a female driver and male passenger were riding in a white SUV on Supercharge Drive when Sylvester exited the suspects’ car and fired multiple rounds from the semi-automatic rifle at the vehicle. Ledet also fired a single round from the shotgun at the vehicle. Following the incident, Sylvester, Ledet, and Stevens fled the area in the black car.
All three were charged with Attempted First Degree Murder in the incident and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. The bond for each is set at $200,000.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the motive behind the shooting.
