Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Bryan Bonvillain (age 27) of Bourg on Thursday, March 22. At around 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to an incident on Myrtle Drive in Bayou Blue. Upon arrival, deputies learned Bonvillain had arrived earlier that day threatening a woman over a matter of $40. Bonvillain ran toward the residence, and the woman locked herself inside along with a second female friend. Bonvillain kicked in the door and entered the residence, and he then began swinging a metal broomstick he had found on the property. As he swung the broomstick, he struck the woman on the hand. He then left the residence. Deputies located Bonvillain on Lacroix Drive, and he was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Home Invasion. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center, and his bond is set at $50,000.
