Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced two men are dead following a shooting in Raceland on Saturday, December 15. The incident occurred inside a residence in the 100 block of Market Street on Saturday afternoon. One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Two male persons of interest have been detained, and two handguns were found in their possession.
