Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives are investigating a shooting incident which has left one man injured. The shooting occurred Tuesday night in Cut Off.

At around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, deputies responded to a call of a shooting on West 59th Street in Cut Off. A man in his 20s was injured in the shooting when a single round struck him in the left forearm. He had been sitting outside a residence with his girlfriend and their child when he heard several gunshots. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury.
