Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced New Orleans man wanted in connection to a stolen vehicle and string of vehicle burglaries has been arrested. Andre Brown, 30, was arrested on Friday.
On January 4, 2019, deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle and vehicle burglaries on Landmark Drive in Raceland. A pickup truck had been stolen, and several vehicles had been burglarized. During the course of the investigation, detectives received images and videos of the suspects. One of the suspects was identified as Andre Brown, and they obtained warrants for his arrest.
At around 1 a.m. on Friday, February 15, deputies made contact with Brown on a traffic stop, and he was taken into custody. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, seven counts of Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, and seven counts of Contempt of Court. His bond is set at $160,000. He has also been ordered to pay $1,909 in fines and costs stemming from the contempt warrants.
The investigation continues as detectives have determined Brown had at least two accomplices in the crimes.
