Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of a Bayou Blue man for First Degree Rape involving a juvenile. Marvin Salgado, 25, was arrested on Friday, July 26 following an investigation.

Juvenile detectives opened an investigation into Salgado after learning of possible ongoing sexual abuse involving a girl under the age of 13. During the course of the investigation, they learned Salgado had allegedly committed First Degree Rape involving the juvenile. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Salgado’s arrest.

Detectives made contact with Salgado on July 26, 2019, and he was arrested on the active warrant for First Degree Rape. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. His bail is set at $500,000.

Due to the nature of the allegations and the age of the victim, no further details can be released on this investigation.
