Agency Honors and Awards
Under the direction and leadership of Sheriff Craig Webre, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office first achieved national accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies in 2000 and has been accredited ever since. LPSO was re-accredited consecutively in 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2020, and 2024 – receiving Accreditation with Excellence in 2015 and Meritorious status in 2020 (for 15 straight years of accreditation). The LPSO Training Academy and Communications Section have also been accredited in 2020, leading to the first-ever CALEA Tri-Arc Accreditation Status. The LPSO Transitional Work Program is nationally accredited by the American Correctional Association. The program first achieved national accreditation in 2004 and was re-accredited consecutively in 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016. The program is in line for re-accreditation in 2021, and the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex is in line for its initial ACA Accreditation in 2021 as well.
