DISASTER ASSISTANCE:

  • FEMA: Register at DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362 (TTY 1-800-462-7585).
    • Disaster Recovery Center is open daily, 9am-6pm at the Lafourche Parish Government Mathews Complex, 4876 Hwy. 1
  • National Flood Insurance Program: call your insurance agent directly to report your loss. If you don’t have that information, call NFIP directly at 877-336-2627.
  • Small Business Administration Loan: DisasterLoanAssistance.SBA.gov or call 1-800-659-2955. This includes loans for home and personal property, businesses, and economic injury (not just for businesses).
  • Temporary Emergency Housing: to register for temporary housing, call (844) 268-0301 or IDAshelteringLA.com to sign up online. If you already registered with Lafourche Parish Government, your information was already sent, and you do not need to register again.
  • Rental & Mortgage Assistance: call (985) 537-7603 to schedule an appointment.
  • Disaster Legal Services: 1-800-310-7029
  • Emergency Prescription Assistance Program: (855) 793-7470 or visit the website.
  • Disaster Distress Helpline: 800-985-5990.

FEMA DISASTER FRAUD: Report scams, fraud, and identity theft to FEMA’s toll-free Disaster Fraud Hotline at 866-720-5721. Or, contact the Louisiana Attorney General Consumer Protection Section, P.O. Box 94005, Baton Rouge, LA 70804.

CONTRACTOR FRAUD: If you believe you have been a victim of contractor fraud, please contact the Contractor Fraud Response Team at (985) 413-4498. For tips on how to avoid becoming a victim, CLICK HERE.
