Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a man which occurred on Hyland Drive in Thibodaux on Sunday. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Carlos Knox of Houma. The incident is being investigated as a homicide. No arrests have been made.
Shortly after 5 p.m. on June 6, 2021, the Sheriff’s Office received a call about a person who had been shot and was lying on the ground in the 300 block of Hyland Drive in Thibodaux. Several gunshots were reportedly heard in the area. Deputies and detectives responded and located the victim who was pronounced dead and later identified as Knox. Several spent rifle shell casings were found nearby.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced several individuals have been charged in connection to narcotics investigations in the South Lafourche area in the past two days. LPSO narcotics agents were assisted by LPSO detectives as well as agents from Louisiana Probation and Parole.
Through investigation, agents obtained a search warrant for the residence of Robert Blair Jr., 36, on Doucet Lane in Golden Meadow. During a search of the residence, agents located 5.75 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, over $6,000 in cash, and a handgun. Blair, who was at the residence at the time of the search, was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. He was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $85,500. Additionally, agents arrested Blake Guidry, 33, of Galliano who was at the residence. He was booked on two active contempt of court warrants, and his total bail has not yet been set.
Agents had also obtained a search warrant for a residence on West 59th Street. On June 3, 2021, agents arrived and located one of the residents, Edward Green, 34, who had an active warrant for heroin distribution. During the search, agents located suspected narcotics including 48.4 grams of methamphetamine, 5.6 grams of crack cocaine, 3.5 grams of heroin and fentanyl, synthetic marijuana, numerous MDMA pills, and various drug paraphernalia, as well as over $1,000 in cash. Green was booked into the Correctional Complex on the active warrant. He was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, and MDMA, as well as Possession of Synthetic Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $301,000.
Stacey Hernandez, 57, who also resides at the residence, was issued a criminal summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Theft of Utility Services. Louis Eymard, 28, of Galliano, who was at the residence at the time of the search, was issued a criminal summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Agents also conducted a search at the residence of Gary Robinson, 54, on Peterson Lane in Galliano. When agents, arrived, they discovered Robinson and several other individuals at the residence. During the search, agents located heroin, methamphetamine, and several pills. Robinson was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin and Possession of Meth and Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $56,000.
The following individuals were also arrested at Robinson’s residence:
Kristen Morgan, 25, of Raceland: Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $600.
Tarah Plaisance, 40, of Golden Meadow: Possession of Tylenol with Codeine, two counts of Contempt of Court (warrant), Disturbing the Peace (warrant). Bail is set at $5,550.
Kristin Williams, 35, of Galliano: Distribution of Meth (warrant), Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $25,500.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced an investigation is underway after detectives discovered human remains in the Golden Meadow area on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The remains were discovered in a wooded area just north of Yankee Canal.
An autopsy will be performed. Updates will be provided as information becomes available as the investigation continues.
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Larose on Tuesday. Leroy Allen, 37, was arrested on drug distribution warrants and faces additional charges after he was found with drugs in his possession.
Narcotics agents had been investigating Allen, who is currently on probation. Through investigation, agents had obtained warrants for Allen’s arrest for distribution of fentanyl and heroin.
On June 1, 2021, LPSO narcotics agents accompanied agents from Louisiana Probation and Parole to Allen’s residence on Highway 3235 in Larose. After arriving at the residence, agents made contact with Allen, and he was immediately taken into custody. During a search, agents found approximately 9.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine, two bags containing a total of 24.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia along with $3,550 in cash.
Allen was transported to Thibodaux and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on the warrants for Distribution of Fentanyl and Heroin. He was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Crack Cocaine, as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $150,500, but he is also being held for Probation and Parole.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre is asking for the public’s help in locating 42-year-old Michelle Griffin of West 135th Street in Galliano. She was last seen on May 19, 2021, on East 178th Street in Galliano walking toward East Main Street.
Griffin suffers from mental illnesses and impaired vision. She is described as 5’3″ tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown hair. She was last seen wearing denim shorts and no shoes. Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced narcotics agents made five arrests in the South Lafourche area over the past week, including several narcotics dealers. The arrests came after agents obtained search warrants and arrest warrants through investigations.
Agents had obtained warrants for the arrest of Roxie Toups, 26, of Galliano for Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of Persons Under 17. On May 20, 2021, agents located Toups traveling in the Galliano area and conducted a traffic stop. She was immediately taken into custody and found to have fentanyl in her possession. She was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on the warrants and also charged with Possession of Fentanyl. Bail is set at $71,000.
On May 25, 2021, agents conducted a search at a residence on West 178th Street in Galliano. Agents located Jaron Rousse, 19, inside the residence. Rousse had four active warrants for contempt of court and was taken into custody. Agents found him to be in possession of an AR-15 and a pistol (each with large-capacity magazines), approximately 14 ounces of marijuana, and various items commonly associated with the sale of illegal narcotics. Rousse was arrested and booked into the Correctional Complex on the warrants. He was also charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail is set at $53,200.
Then on Wednesday, May 26, agents executed two search warrants in the Larose area, one of which was on East 2nd Street in reference to Alexander Williams, 28. During the search, agents found marijuana and a firearm inside the residence. He was arrested and booked into the Correctional Complex on charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Bail has not yet been set.
Through investigation, agents had also obtained a search warrant and an arrest warrant for Kendell Evans, 23, of East 23rd Street in Larose for Distribution of Fentanyl. Agents located Evans traveling in the Larose area and conducted a traffic stop along LA Highway 1. After Evans pulled the vehicle over, he exited and threw an item into Bayou Lafourche. Agents placed Evans under arrest and retrieved the item from the bayou. The item was a plastic bag which had several smaller bags inside containing suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and Roxicodone. Agents then executed a search warrant at Evans’ residence and located additional Roxicodone, marijuana, a handgun, paraphernalia, and over $4,000 in cash. Evans was booked into the Correctional Complex on the outstanding warrant. He was also charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Roxicodone, and Marijuana, as well as Obstruction of Justice, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail has not yet been set.
Haywood Boyd, 36, of Raceland, was traveling with Evans and had two active contempt warrants for his arrest. He was also booked into the Correctional Complex. Bail is set at $1,000 on one warrant, and he’s been sentenced to pay $2,594.50 in fines and costs on the other.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives are investigating a homicide of a Raceland man. Kim Kol Ker, 66, was found dead of an apparent stabbing early Friday morning.
At around 12:45 a.m. on May 21, 2021, a family member discovered him at his residence in the 100 block of Morristown Road in Raceland. Deputies and detectives responded, and the investigation is continuing.
No arrests have yet been made as the incident remains under investigation. As the investigation continues, detectives are asking for the public’s assistance. Kohl Bouzigar is described as 5’6” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds. He currently has blond hair and is wearing black-framed glasses. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants and carrying a black and white backpack. Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported the body of 59-year-old Talbot Serigny of Leeville was found on Thursday, May 20. A boater discovered Serigny, who had been missing since May 15, 2021, in the Leeville area.
Serigny was reported missing on Wednesday, May 19, after family members had not heard from him in several days. He was last confirmed to be seen in the Leeville area on Saturday night, May 15. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and Port Fourchon Harbor Police began searching on land and in the water after Serigny was reported missing.
On Thursday, May 20, a boater traveling in Bayou Lafourche discovered a man’s body in the Leeville area and notified law enforcement. Investigators identified the man as Serigny. The investigation into his death is continuing, but there is no evidence of foul play.
